Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of BounceOwl, run by BounceOwl. By creating an account or using the API or MCP server, you agree to them.

Your account

You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your API keys secret. Revoke a key in the app if it leaks.

Acceptable use

• Check only addresses you have a lawful reason to process, and follow the email and privacy laws that apply to you.
• Don't use BounceOwl to send spam or to support it.
• Don't try to overload, probe or work around the service, its rate limits or its credit system.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Credits and payment

• Credits are bought in advance through Stripe and don't expire.
• Credits are used as shown on the pricing page. Unknown results, invalid addresses and addresses anyone checked on BounceOwl in the last 7 days don't use credits.
• Credits belong to your account and can't be transferred or exchanged for cash.
• For billing questions or refund requests, email support@bounceowl.com.

Results

A result shows what the recipient's mail server told us at the time of the check. Mail servers can change their answers and some accept mail and bounce it later, so we can't guarantee that every valid result will be delivered.

Availability and liability

We work to keep BounceOwl available but don't promise it will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can stop using BounceOwl at any time. To close your account, email support@bounceowl.com.

Changes

If these terms change, we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the app.
